Consumerization

Consumerization: Consumerization designates the provision of digital equipment and services for all areas of consumer living. The design goal is people’s quality of life in the sense of life engineering. Quality of life includes needs like the recognition of the peer group as well as the satisfaction of basic needs like food and drink or health.
Consumerization is the starting point for consumer centricity. In many cases, this does not involve improving the orientation of existing products and services on the con-sumers, but rather providing new consumer solutions like social networks, digital games or personal financial management.
